As part of my responsibilities as the Volunteer Coordinator, I had the pleasure to create from scratch different celebrations for our IRC clients in order to incorporate them into the society they now belong. The holiday event, is an event created by the Development Manager, Oasis Pena in order to celebrate the first year clients spend in their new home country. On this event, we coordinate with donors in order to provide dinner, gifts, and music for our clients. Children were able to explored one of the coolest museums in Miami, The Miami Children Museum. Furthermore, the IRC was waiting with wrapped gifts thanks to the donors who helped refugee children wish come true. None of this could have been possible without our Donors and Volunteers help. I am always thankful for those who extend their hand and go the extra mile in order to make someone else’s day better. From all of this, all we can say is that Miami, definitely, welcomes IRC clients.
